Today, I finally bought the brand new 7D. At first glance, this camera seems to be a real beauty, it is fast, has a great AF and makes it possible for me to use EF-S lenses which I cannot use with my 1D Mark 3. I especially like the possibility of using Canons EF-S 10-22mm (which equals 16-35 analogue millimeters) which gives an exciting wide-angle perspective to wildlife photography. The HD video functions is exciting too. Some years ago, I had Canons professional video camera XL1-s but I never used it very much because of the need to change the SLR body to the video camera. Susequently, I sold it. Now, when everything is combined in the same body, this seems to be more easy. Just one button to press, and the camera is recording HD video. And apparently, you can photograph at the same time…
I will write more about my experiences with the 7D as soon as I have tested it but at first glance the camera seems to be well worth its money!
